Hey, my name is Tinh (Travis), the founder and photographer behind Hills Vow.
I’m Tinh (Travis) - The founder and photographer behind Hills Vow.
I was born in Central Vietnam and grew up between the mountains and the sea. Perhaps it was these landscapes that quietly shaped the way I see beauty, people, and the stories unfolding around me. Later, I studied agriculture in Israel before returning to Vietnam, where I happened to find photography, almost as if it were a path I had never planned, but was always meant to discover.
I’m now based in Saigon, spending most of my time photographing intimate weddings, elopements, and love stories for couples from Vietnam and around the world.
But to me, photography has never been simply about taking a beautiful photograph.
I care about what happens before the shutter is pressed.
The place we choose, the way a day slowly unfolds, the quiet moments between two people, and the feeling they carry with them after it is all over. That is why Hills Vow came to life.
Hills Vow is my way of bringing together photography, thoughtful preparation, beautiful places, and experiences that genuinely mean something. I personally develop the ideas and walk alongside each couple from finding the right setting and shaping the timeline, to creating the space for the day to unfold naturally, privately, and completely as their own.
I’m a quiet observer, a book lover, and perhaps a little particular when it comes to beauty. I’m drawn to things that feel honest, timeless, and quietly beautiful.
And perhaps the most important thing I believe is this:
The most beautiful photographs are not necessarily the ones that look perfect.
They are the ones that allow you to remember exactly how it felt to be there, in that moment.
